01 · ORIGIN

Hemispherical pearls nurtured inside the shell.

Mabe pearls are cultivated by attaching a nucleus to the inner surface of the mabe oyster's shell and growing nacre over it. They form differently from pearls that grow into spheres inside the oyster.

In Japan they are cultivated in areas such as around Amami Oshima, and besides white tones, some have a bluish or purplish luster. You can enjoy the light reflected on the full curve and the way the color shifts with the angle.

02 · CHARACTER

Rich expression created by shape and luster.

Soft curves

The hemispherical swell catches the light broadly. View it not only from the front but also from an angle, and you will see differences in dimension and luster.

Beautiful outlines

Round domes look gentle, and teardrops look crisp. There are also hearts and other shapes, and the outline changes the impression it adds to your look.

Shifting colors

Even within white tones, the expression differs with how the light falls. Find the shade and shine you like to suit your skin and clothes.

03 · HOW TO CHOOSE

Value the balance when worn.

When choosing, compare the height of the swell, the outline and the harmony with the metal fittings, as well as the luster and surface condition. For clip-on earrings and earrings, the color and shape of the left and right, and the size when worn near the face, are also key points.

For pendants, check the balance with your chest; for jewelry at the ear, check the comfort as well. Please choose a piece that suits your style.
